TugeZine History
The TugeZine was established in 2020 by the former editors of Lekko (International), the tug & towage magazine. That (print) magazine ran for 45 years until it folded due to rising costs of print and postage. After due consideration the former editors Job van Eijk and Cock Peterse decided to launch a new bi-monthly magazine in e-format to continue to serve their former subscribers and friends in the towage industry and tell the continuing story of tugs and towage in addition to recollection of past achievements. The additional TugeNewsletter is published at minimum every odd month with extra news items or special publications.
Publisher is TugDoc International which has been active since 2013 when Job van Eijk set up as a private tug and towage journalist, maritime researcher and marketing consultant.
